I’ve always had a close relationship with technologies, and so I gained a degree in Computer Networks from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The greatest assets that I obtained during my academic years were broad knowledge of the ICT field, contacts, as well as options to gain useful technical experience and soft skills within student organisations. I still like remembering the years at Strahov dormitories, where I used to manage the biggest student computer network in the Czech Republic and its server infrastructure, along with other friends from the Silicon Hill Student Club, of which I was elected chairman.

After leaving school, I headed to Huawei’s Czech headquarters. As a Solutions Manager, I took care of the biggest Czech telecommunication companies – in particular O2, T-Mobile, and Vodafone. I worked closely with customers on many projects during a six-year period, e.g. the two largest MPLS networks in the Czech Republic on Huawei’s platform. I also managed to enforce CPE routers to be used for all operators’ enterprise customers. I also delivered plenty of technical presentations and training courses during these six years.
My next step, logically, was to take the gained experience and head somewhere else. The enterprise environment offers different challenges, faster projects, as well as possibilities for direct participation, and managing the design and implementation of diverse solutions. There wasn’t much to think about – Huatech is the strongest Huawei technology partner in the Czech Republic, and I’ve known the guys for a long time. Out of the many projects I have worked on, I can mention the construction of a WDM network for ČEZ, and the design and implementation of the MPLS network for ŘSD.
